Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an experienced Active Directory Customer Engineer/Architect to lead advanced identity and access management initiatives for large enterprises. The role emphasizes AD DS, GPO, DNS, and hybrid identity with Azure Entra ID, delivering design, deployment, and advisory services from a remote Singapore-based setting.

You will work with customers to troubleshoot, migrate, and modernize Active Directory estates, while providing guidance on security and privileged access

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise identity and access management.
• Deep expertise in AD DS, Group Policy, DNS, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Strong troubleshooting, deployment, and advisory capabilities.
• Experience with hybrid cloud identity architectures.
• Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for Active Directory infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AD DS, Domain Controllers, GPO, DNS/DHCP issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution for complex identity-related incidents.
• Support Hybrid Identity environments integrating Active Directory with Azure AD.
• Configure and troubleshoot Pass-through Authentication.
• Assist customers with AD migration, consolidation, and modernization projects.
• Provide guidance on identity security and privileged access management.
• Create technical documentation and deployment guides.
• Collaborate with Microsoft, security, and application teams to resolve critical issues.
• Participate in on-call and escalation support rotations.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Customer Engineer/ Architect to provide technical support, troubleshooting, deployment, and advisory services for enterprise identity and access management environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy, DNS, Identity Management, Hybrid Identity, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for Active Directory Infrastructure in enterprise environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:

Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)

Domain Controllers

Group Policy Objects (GPO)

DNS and DHCP

Trust relationships and replication

Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution for complex identity-related incidents.

Support and manage Hybrid Identity environments integrating Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

Configure and troubleshoot:

Pass-through Authentication

Assist customers with Active Directory migration, consolidation, and modernization projects.

Provide guidance on identity security best practices and privileged access management.

Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and deployment guides.

Collaborate with Microsoft, infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve critical issues.

Participate in on-call and escalation support rotations.
