Job summary

SYIP CAFE PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a kitchen assistant to support chefs with basic food preparation and ingredient portioning. You will wash, peel, dice, and prep ingredients according to recipes while maintaining strict cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment and workstations.

You will also wash dishes, restock supplies, assist with receiving and storing deliveries, and ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and ingredient portioning.
• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
• Dispose of waste and keep rubbish disposal areas clean.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
