Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist with daily food preparation and basic cooking activities.
• Maintain hygiene standards in kitchen and prep areas.
• Follow safety procedures and proper waste disposal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, cutting, peeling and portioning ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients according to kitchen requirements and instructions.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation and cooking activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, food preparation areas and equipment.
• Wash and clean kitchen utensils, cookware and equipment.
• Receive, check and properly store food supplies and ingredients.
• Monitor and replenish ingredients and kitchen supplies when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with packing and preparation of food orders.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain proper housekeeping.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the supervisor or chef.
