Job summary

KONE Corporation in Singapore is seeking a CSE Engineer Project to coordinate engineering work from initial start-up to handover on demanding elevator projects. You will manage solution planning, costings, specifications, lead times, installability and maintainability, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety requirements.

You will coordinate with Supply Line, installation, maintenance and project management, leading a team of CSE Engineers and Specialists while identifying sales

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of new construction and building modernizations processes in the industry.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate solution planning, including costings for variations and addworks.
• Accountable for technical content of orders between MS 0b and MS 2z.
• Create layouts and oversee change requirements across teams.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Installers, and Maintenance Supervisors.

He/she takes over from the CSE Engineer, Solution in the initial start-up meeting, and is accountable for coordination of all engineering work until the project is handed over to maintenance**What will you be doing?**Solution planning – costing· Responsible for supplying correct costings in change orders (variations and addworks), both for corporate and local materials· Involves the Supply Line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand both the materials and service cost of the change orders (variations and addworks)Solution planning – Specs· Coordinates specification creation for changes· Accountable for the technical content of the order between MS 0b and MS 2z· Accountable for final technical site surveysSolution planning – Availability and lead times· Coordinates lead times from Supply Line and local sourcing on the changesSolution planning – Installability· Ensures that the proposed solution can be installed after the changes are applied· Ensures that the cost and work effort impact of the installation is part of change costingSolution planning – Maintainability· Ensures that the proposed changes fulfils the customer’s product lifecycle needs· Identifies possible deviations of changes to standard maintenance methods and ensures that a resolution is found Solution planning – Compliance· Ensures that the proposed solution fulfils local codes, regulations and safety requirements· Ensure alignment with environmental regulations· Ensures that the planned solution complies with KONE’s Engineering PolicyKey tasks in the KONE Sales process· Takes over from the CSE Engineer, Solution in the most complex project cases during the initial start-up meetingKey tasks in the KONE Delivery process· Accountable for the creation of layouts· Coordinates and analyses change requirements (variation orders and addworks); ensures that holistic proposals for the new solution design are provided· Coordinates the work of all involved CSE Engineers and Specialists· Proposes change order (variations and addworks) sales opportunities to Project Managers· Accountable to understand variance between the design of the site versus reality of the site· Provides solution-related information to Project Managers, Installation Supervisors and Maintenance SupervisorsCSE Engineer, Project role in the KONE SER process· Shares knowledge with maintenance per as neededGeneral responsibilities· Participates in product and new service release information-sharing sessions· Offers input to the product offering management about customization, standardization and interface requirements for the portfolio· Contributes to the Customer Solutions Engineering virtual and local network· Contributes to and utilizes the Customer Solutions Engineering case library **Are you the one?** · Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant field, or several years’ experience in elevator business field operations· Understanding of new construction and building modernizations processes in the industry and at KONE· Good skills in understanding and translating customer needs into KONE technical specifications· Good knowledge of KONE solution-related norms and standards· Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms· Good engineering tool skills e.g. CAD and BIM skills· Good knowledge of KONE current solutions· Knowledge of supply engineering.
