The Opportunity
Join our expanding quantitative research function and help design, build, and productionize models for crypto and multi-asset trading environments—from exchange-style setups to broker-dealer trading desks. You'll have direct exposure to live trading, market-making, and risk analytics, working at the intersection of technology and the fastest-evolving financial markets.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead quantitative research and model development for trading, risk analytics, and market-making strategies in exchange or broker trading desk environments.
- Frame research hypotheses, engineer features, select and calibrate models, and run robust, time-aware backtests using large-scale, real-world trading data.
- Productionize strategies: deploy, monitor, and iterate on models in live trading and execution pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with the dealing team and stakeholders for direct impact on strategy decisions and execution.
- Mentor junior quants; set technical standards for research quality, code, and documentation.
- Clearly communicate findings and actionable insights to both technical and non-technical teams.
Advanced/Plus
- Experience with market-making, liquidity provision, or execution algorithms in crypto or traditional markets.
- Experience with cryptocurrency exchange platforms is a plus
- Strong background in market microstructure analysis or high-frequency signals.
- Practical experience with cost-sensitive strategies, P&L attribution, and post-trade analytics.
- Rapid experimentation and impact-driven research mindset.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years in quantitative research, trading, or risk analytics
- Proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), SQL, and PySpark/Spark (Databricks experience a plus).
- Deep understanding of statistics, financial modeling, and experimental design.
- Track record of delivering research to production: hypothesis → backtest → calibration → monitored rollout.
- Excellent communicator and mentor.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to crypto/CFD/gold/FX/derivatives.
- Experience in market-making or trading strategy optimization.
