Job summary

SINGAPORE LNG CORPORATION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee safe and reliable operations and maintenance of terminal assets from the mechanical perspective.

The role includes a one-year on-the-job training program shadowing SMEs to develop LNG terminal maintenance skills and knowledge. You will participate in maintenance planning, root cause analyses, and equipment performance tracking while coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure safety, compliance and gas

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering/technical discipline.
• Professional accreditation or affiliation with engineers' bodies is a plus.
• High self-motivation with the ability to energize and inspire peers.
• Effective communication and strong interest in a technical maintenance role in cryogenic industries.
• Oil & Gas/Energy internship or experience is beneficial.
• Team player with good listening skills and adaptability.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and handle changing priorities.
• Strong problem solving and resilience in addressing issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical/maintenance support and solutions to terminal operations, focusing on reliability and maintenance procedures.
• Contribute to maintenance planning, SAP documentation, and KPI tracking with planners/stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental rules and permit-to-work systems.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
• Shadow Supervisors to manage in-house contractors and OEM vendors.
• Support root cause analysis and recommendations for equipment failures.
• Maintain historical data for equipment performance (MTBF, hours, incidents).
• Participate in cost and schedule management for mechanical projects using internal MOC processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects on safety, reliability, and quality.
