Job summary

PASONA SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an M&A Consultant at Manager level in Singapore. The role focuses on originating and managing mandates across Singapore and international markets, with cross-border deal experience and strong financial modeling skills.

You will lead end-to-end M&A engagements, including screening, valuation, structuring, due diligence, and closing, while coordinating with Japan-based teams and external advisors. Proficiency in Mandarin and Japanese is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transaction services or corporate finance.
• Experience with MNCs and listed companies.
• Overseas study or work experience is advantageous.
• Ability to converse in Mandarin for client negotiations.
• Ability to converse in Japanese with Japanese-speaking clients and for project management.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage a pipeline of prospective investors and acquirers across Singapore and international markets.
• Assess investor-opportunity fit and prepare pitch decks and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Lead M&A engagements end-to-end including target screening, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
• Develop and review financial models and valuations (DCF, comps, precedent transactions) for multi-class structures and multi-jurisdictional operations.
• Prepare forecasts and scenario analyses for acquisitions and restructurings with field research validation.
• Analyze financial and market data to provide recommendations directly to the client's CEO.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and collaborate with Japan-based teams and external advisors.
