Job summary

Montfort Care in Singapore seeks a Crisis Operations Worker to manage end-to-end child protection crises, from intake through to stabilization and transition. The role involves coordinating real-time multi-agency responses to safeguard children and vulnerable individuals, with emphasis on safety planning and timely interventions.

The position requires a degree in Social Work or Psychology and 2–3 years of relevant crisis/high-risk casework experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in child protection, family violence, or crisis/high-risk casework.
• Familiarity with Structured Decision Making (SDM) or similar risk assessment frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Crisis Intake, Triage and Activation: Respond to crises in a timely manner, perform urgent triage and determine the appropriate response.
• Risk and Safety Assessment: Conduct prompt crisis assessments on-site or remotely to determine immediate safety and risk levels.
• Immediate Safety Intervention and Stabilisation: Develop and implement ISP, coordinate urgent interventions and reassess evolving risk with supervisors and partners.
• Crisis Case Ownership and Operational Execution: Maintain full oversight of actions during the crisis and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
• Inter-Agency Coordination: Coordinate with government agencies, healthcare providers, schools, and community agencies.
• Family Engagement: Engage families with empathy, apply de-escalation strategies and support statutory decisions as needed.
• Practice Reflection and System Improvement: Participate in case reviews and help refine crisis response protocols.
