Job summary

Montfort Care in Singapore is seeking a dedicated social worker to deliver client-centered casework, assessment, and intervention within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess risk, provide counselling and plan safety measures for children and families, and link clients to relevant social services.

The role requires a degree in social work and 1-2 years of experience in social service settings, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care and child protection when applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in social work or related discipline.
• Accredited as Registered Social Worker with Singapore Association of Social Workers would be an advantage.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in social service agencies.
• Prior experience in violence specialist centre and child protection work related field would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct casework management and psycho-social assessment.
• Manage cases of different risk levels.
• Conduct risk assessment related to family violence, child abuse and suicide.
• Conduct safety planning with family and network.
• Conduct mental health assessment particularly on trauma, depression.
• Service linkages and work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide basic counselling to both voluntary and involuntary clients as required.
• Plan, organise and implement community outreach activities, programmes and group work.
• Perform evaluation and prepare reports for administrative investigation and intervention programmes.
• Provide information and referral services to link Clients to appropriate social services.
• Participate in research.

• Possess Bachelor Degree In Social Work or a relevant degree in social sciences or related discipline(s) (e.g. psychology)
