We are partnering with an award-winning Singapore law firm to recruit a Criminal Law Associate / Senior Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers seeking strong exposure to high-quality criminal defence, investigations, advocacy, and advisory work within a respected and growing practice.
The Opportunity
You will be involved in a broad spectrum of criminal law matters, including:
- Managing criminal cases from inception through to resolution.
- Advising clients on criminal law matters and legal strategy.
- Representing clients in court proceedings.
- Drafting and reviewing legal submissions, affidavits, mitigation pleas, written arguments, and legal opinions.
- Appearing before the State Courts and High Court for hearings, trials, and sentencing.
- Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies.
- Liaising with clients, prosecutors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Managing client files while ensuring compliance with court timelines and procedural requirements.
- Providing practical, solution-oriented advice and maintaining high standards of client care throughout each matter
Who You Are
- Hold a recognised Law degree and are admitted to practise in Singapore.
- Minimum 2 years' PQE in criminal litigation within a reputable Singapore law firm.
- Experience handling criminal defence matters, investigations, regulatory offences, or white-collar crime.
- Strong advocacy, drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Confident communicator with excellent courtroom presence and attention to detail.
- Commercially minded while maintaining empathy and professionalism when advising clients.
- Able to manage multiple matters and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest professional standards.
