Job summary

Astris Search Group is seeking a Family Lawyer in Singapore to join a highly regarded team. You will handle diverse family law matters, provide strategic advice to clients, and represent them in hearings. The role offers a supportive and collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Singapore-qualified with a valid Practicing Certificate is required. 2–5 years PQE in Family Law is preferred, but strongly motivated fresh lawyers may be considered.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a lawyer in Singapore with Practicing Certificate.
• 2–5 years PQE in Family Law preferred (freshly called lawyers may be considered).
• Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, empathy and resilience required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of family law cases including divorce, custody, maintenance, assets, and adoption.
• Conduct client consultations and develop case strategies with clear legal advice.
• Draft, review, and file court documents including pleadings and affidavits.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations before Family Justice Courts.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive advice.

Overview:

Excellent opportunity for a Family Lawyer to join our client's highly regarded team. This role offers the chance to contribute your expertise to a reputable law firm and support clients through complex and sensitive family law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a wide range of family law cases including divorce, custody, maintenance, matrimonial assets, family violence, adoption, and succession planning.
• Conduct client consultations, provide clear and practical legal advice, and develop case strategies.
• Draft, review, and file court documents including pleadings, affidavits, and submissions.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations before the Family Justice Courts.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive advice where family law intersects with other areas.

Requirements:

• Singapore-qualified lawyer with a valid Practicing Certificate.
• 2-5 years PQE in Family Law preferred (freshly called lawyers with strong interest may also be considered).
• Strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Empathy, patience, and resilience when handling sensitive cases.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently with professionalism and integrity.
