Job summary

GovTech Singapore, the lead agency driving Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives, is seeking a creative technologist for Giant Robots Labs (GRL). Join a small, fast-moving team turning half-formed ideas into tangible prototypes for public sector use.

You’ll prototype across pilots, collaborate with product engineers, and help shape the future of digital government with open, experimental approaches and a culture of curiosity and craft.

Qualifications

• Around 4 to 8 years in product design, interaction design, or creative technology.
• A portfolio that shows range and product judgement, with the thinking visible, not just the final screens.
• Evidence you build interactive prototypes rather than working only through static artefacts and specs.
• You have run your own research or usability testing and changed the product because of what you learned.
• Enough technical curiosity to work closely with engineers. Physical or emerging tech work, zero to one products, or public sector experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Turn ambiguous problems and early hypotheses into tangible prototypes.
• Prototype at varying fidelities to test questions quickly.
• Explore product and interaction directions with pilots and test alternatives.
• Get work in front of users, agency partners, and domain experts early and turn learnings into concrete changes.
• Bring design judgement and craft from early stages through prototype and beta, working with product engineers.
