Qualifications
- Proven experience as a lighting designer/operator for live music events.
- Strong knowledge of DMX/Art-Net protocols.
- Proficient with lighting control software and consoles.
- Ability to read a live performance and adjust lighting in real time.
- Comfort with heights and rigging; safety training a plus.
- Excellent communication with touring artists and crews.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute lighting looks tailored to each act.
- Program and operate the lighting console during soundcheck and shows.
- Set up, focus, and maintain lighting fixtures, rigs, and control systems.
- Collaborate with bands, tour managers, and sound engineers.
- Adjust cues in real time during performances.
- Maintain and troubleshoot lighting equipment.
- Manage inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Ensure rigging and electrical work meet safety standards.
- Assist with lighting for special events or livestreams.
