Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, banking or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years in institutional FX, global markets or financial services.
• Strong track record in institutional FX sales and business development across Asia.
• Established relationships with institutional and corporate clients.
• Understanding of FX products, electronic execution and institutional trading.
• Experience building a business and leading a franchise in a developing market.

As part of its continued growth in Asia, the firm is looking to appoint a Country Head, Singapore. This is a senior leadership and business development role with an initial focus on growing the firm’s institutional FX franchise across the region.

The successful candidate will combine strong institutional FX sales experience with commercial leadership, regulatory awareness and the ability to build a business in a developing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and growth of the firm’s Singapore business
• Develop and execute the regional business strategy, with an initial focus on institutional FX
• Originate new business and develop senior relationships with institutional and corporate clients across Singapore and the broader Asia region
• Promote the firm’s FX and related financial market solutions to relevant client segments
• Take ownership of business development, client onboarding and revenue growth
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and broaden the firm’s regional coverage
• Work closely with global sales, trading, risk, compliance, operations and technology teams to deliver appropriate client solutions
• Represent the firm with regulators, clients, counterparties and other external stakeholders in Singapore
• Ensure the Singapore business operates in line with applicable regulatory, risk and governance requirements
• Build and lead the local team as the business develops

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or a related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within institutional FX, global markets or financial services
• Strong track record in institutional FX sales and business development across Asia
• Established relationships across relevant institutional and corporate client segments
• Strong understanding of FX products, electronic execution and institutional trading requirements
• Broader experience across financial market solutions would be advantageous
• Demonstrated experience building a business, market or client franchise
• Sound understanding of Singapore’s regulatory environment and experience engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance business growth, client needs, risk and governance
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable operating in a developing business environment
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
