Job summary

JLL Singapore is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support project delivery from tendering to completion. You will work with the team on fit-out and refurbishment projects across commercial, retail, industrial, hospitality and education sectors, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to keep costs in check.

The role requires a degree or diploma in a relevant field and 1–2 years' QS experience in interior design, D&B or contracting, plus strong MS Office skills, good negotiation,

You will be exposed to Fit-outs & Refurbishments for both Tenants and Landlords in Commercial, Retail, lndustrial, Hospitality and Education.

Managing multiple projects concurrently

Do you enjoy multi-tasking? Several projects are on-going at various stages hence you will have to coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure no downtime during works. You will be involved from preparing project specifications and project timeline, preparing tender or bid documents and vendor procurement as well as weekly project reports and updates to be submitted the stakeholders. Delivering projects within the established budgets and timelines is the key!

Our successful Cost Manager

• Prepare Tender pricing and cost estimations, souring of quotations, cost evaluation and prepare cost comparison
• Prepare high level cost estimations / pre-tender estimates in short turnaround time
• Review and understanding the tender documents, specifications and drawings for taking off quantities
• Confer with engineers, architects, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Compilation of Bill of Quantity, tender documents / amendments and submission of tender bids etc
• To compare and negotiate price and with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Evaluate Contract/Sub-contract works and carry out other Contracts Administration with clients and vendors
• Maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures To prepare and issue of PO and verify supplier invoice for payment
• Managing procurement process via JLL's own cloud-based platform for all procurement
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
• Prepare on On-board and pre-qualify vendors to JLL standards; and to expand current vendor pool in directory
• Maintaining positive relations for suppliers, contractors and subcontractors Experience in Interior Fit-out works preferred
• Thrive under pressure and deal effectively with tight deadlines and high expectations
• Any other duties as assigned

• A degree or diploma in a relevant field, and/or at least one to two years’ experience as a QS in a Interior Design firm, D&B or Contractor firm or in a similar position.
