Job description

As a Cost Engineer within MSH/ MSB Lean Manufacturing, you will be responsible for driving cost efficiency across High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), Component Assembly and Test, and SSD operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, implement, and govern cost improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with site and network‑wide financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and introduce cost improvement programs across manufacturing operations HBM, Multi‑Chip Packages (MCP) and Low Power DRAM (LP‑DRAM) Component Assembly/Test/SSD.
• Perform month‑end close activities and drive performance to plan, including:
  • Budget adherence (spend vs. budget by department and cost category).
  • Capex optimization targets.
  • Free Cash Flow (FCF) project deliverables.
  • Material consumption performance to target.
  • Financial Competitive Analysis for cost competitiveness benchmark.
• Partner with Finance for quarterly business plan submissions, actual spending analysis and cost‑per‑part projections.
• Act as the key integrator between Site Functional Teams and Central Cost Teams to ensure cost commitments are met and proliferate Best‑Known Methods (BKMs) across the network and assess opportunities for site‑level adoption.
• Provide visibility into cost initiatives and performance metrics through dashboards and reporting tools.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI‑enabled enhancements within your scope of work.

• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
