Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Product Owner for SMAI, FE Cost to lead cost initiatives within Operations. You will collaborate with data teams and multiple business functions to identify and implement AI-driven cost opportunities, quantify impact, and drive ROI across global sites.

The role requires 3-5 years in cost projects, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced semiconductor environment. Relocation TBD.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Engineers & Data Scientists to deliver AI-enabled cost projects.
• Work with Engineering, Procurement, Central Cost, Site Cost and Program Management to identify end-to-end cost opportunities.
• Quantify, track, and monitor financial and operational impact of solutions.
• Identify new use-cases and best practices across procurement processes.
• Develop business cases, ROI validation and prioritize projects for implementation.
• Break down complex data and processes to identify levers and solutions.

Product Owner, SMAI, FE Cost

As Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will report to the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. The team defines, drives and delivers end-to-end smart manufacturing solutions integrated across functions of the business. The team applies industry-leading best methodologies in automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron’s product development, business and administrative processes across the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Engineers & Data Scientists to deliver projects that require the coordination and support of resources from global teams
• Work closely with stakeholders including Engineering team, Procurement team, Central Cost Team, Site Cost teams and Program Management team to identify and implement end-to-end AI-based solution for identification of cost opportunities and value capture
• Quantify, track, and monitor financial/operational impact of solutions to the business
• Identify new use‑cases and best practices across strategic and operational procurement processes
• Develop business case, including impact validation approach, ROI of potential solutions and prioritize & propose projects for implementation
• Ability to think critically and break down complex data/processes to identify key levers and applicable solutions

Qualifications

• At least 3‑5 years of work experience in Cost projects and Cost initiatives within Operations functions
• Familiar with processes, systems and solutions preferably in the semiconductor industry
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to effectively lead and present to small and large groups
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to work multi-functionally with peers, senior and mid-level management
• Peer leadership and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Highly organized and ability to remain flexible to the changing business needs
