Job summary

SMTP Consult Pte. Ltd. is seeking a strategic, analytical and project-oriented professional to support business development initiatives and key strategic projects.

You will work closely with management to identify and evaluate opportunities, develop practical recommendations and drive initiatives from strategy through execution, including international expansion and cross-functional improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Management, Economics, Finance or a related discipline. An MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, business development, project management or a related field.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, international business or a multi-market environment is preferred.
• PMP certification is highly preferred, with demonstrated hands-on experience managing projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate information into practical recommendations and action plans.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills with confidence across functions and senior management.
• Commercially minded, proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to identify opportunities and take ownership of initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel overseas when required.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, analytical and project-oriented professional to join our team and support business development initiatives and key strategic projects.

Working closely with management, you will help identify and evaluate business opportunities, develop practical recommendations and drive important initiatives from strategy through execution.

The role combines business development, strategic planning and project management, with exposure to international market expansion, strategic partnerships, business planning, process improvement and cross-functional organisational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

• Analyse markets, industries, competitors and emerging business opportunities to identify potential areas for growth and expansion.
• Evaluate potential strategic partnerships, investments, M&A opportunities and other business development initiatives.
• Conduct research and prepare business analyses, feasibility assessments and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Support the development and execution of international market expansion strategies and business plans.
• Monitor market and industry developments and identify opportunities, risks and potential implications for the business.

Strategic Project Management

• Lead and manage strategic projects from planning through execution, ensuring initiatives are delivered according to agreed objectives, timelines and priorities.
• Translate management priorities and strategic objectives into clear action plans, project milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and resources to ensure effective project execution.
• Identify project risks, challenges and dependencies, and develop practical solutions to keep initiatives on track.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.

Internal Business & Organisational Initiatives

• Drive internal initiatives relating to process improvement, operational effectiveness, organisational development and business performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
• Work with different departments to implement improvements and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
• Support management in advancing key strategic and organisational priorities.

Management Support & Reporting

• Prepare business analysis, market research, project reports and management presentations.
• Consolidate information from different functions and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Support management in business reviews, strategic planning sessions and decision-making processes.
