Job summary

AIM Global Talent is seeking an early core engineer for a lean, AI-first startup in Singapore. You will own data infrastructure across ingestion, processing, data models, and LLM applications, from 0 to 1, with cloud-native design and high ownership.

You’ll collaborate with the founding team to build scalable pipelines and analysts-facing services, shaping the platform from the ground up. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in production software, strong Python/SQL, and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Experience building production data pipelines using Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar frameworks.
• Experience designing schemas and data models using Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience processing real-world documents such as PDFs, HTML, XBRL, scanned documents, or complex tables.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building production LLM applications, ideally including RAG or structured outputs.
• Experience with AWS or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production data pipelines across multiple external data sources.
• Design reliable ingestion workflows with scheduling, monitoring, and failure recovery.
• Build systems to extract and structure information from PDFs, HTML, XBRL, and other real-world documents.
• Handle multilingual content and build robust schema-based data models.
• Build production-grade ETL/ELT workflows with Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar tools.
• Develop reliable LLM applications and retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
