Job summary

BOSH ENGINEERING PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator to manage contract requirements, notices and schedules, and monitor completion timelines. You will prepare and negotiate extension of time and loss and expense claims, while supporting variations, payments, and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying /Construction Project Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in either a construction firm or a quantity surveying practice with good knowledge in contracts and ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Previous exposure / experience in contract administration and preparation of extension of time and loss and expense claims would be a distinct advantage.
• A good command of spoken and written English and computer literate.
• A team player, able to communicate and coordinate effectively.
• Travelling may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review contract requirements as to notices, prepare pro‑forma letters and schedules and ensure time scales for notices and particulars are compliant.
• Monitor contract completion or extended completion and track delays, causes and impacts.
• Ensure all contractual correspondence is responded to timely according to contract provisions.
• Prepare and negotiate claims for extension of time, loss and expense, etc.
• Support other units with quantity surveying tasks: variations, payments, final accounts, tender review, and contract documents binding.
• Liaise with consultants/solicitors on claims and legal matters.
• Deployment may be head office or site based depending on project scale.
• Take instructions from Project Director/Project Manager on site and report to Contracts Manager.
• Assist in preparing Purchase / Work Order Agreements and front vendor negotiations.
