Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Group, based in Singapore, seeks an experienced Business Analyst focused on data-driven projects. You will gather and validate requirements, map data flows, and ensure traceability across functional specs and business goals.

Lead collaboration with stakeholders, manage change, and support test activities across SIT/UAT. Strong SQL, Excel, and communication skills are essential to drive successful outcomes under pressure.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of business analysis experience delivering data projects.
• Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries for data profiling and validation.
• Skilled in data mapping and transformation to ensure accurate data flow.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts for data analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel (including Macros) and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in change management and fundamentals of project management.

• Confident presenter who can explain complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business data requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate with Business Unit Specialists to elicit, review, and validate data-related requirements.
• Perform impact assessments and analyze as-is vs to-be processes to meet requirements.
• Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements supporting business objectives.
• Monitor risks and issues related to requirements and scope creep to maintain project integrity.
• Assess and estimate impacts of change requests for informed decision-making.
• Transition requirements to System Analysts for accurate solution design.
• Maintain traceability between functional specs and business requirements.
• Review and validate test plans and scopes to ensure coverage of requirements.
• Support SIT and UAT by prioritizing, tracking, and resolving defects.
• Coordinate testing activities with the testing team and business stakeholders.

• Business Data Analysis & Requirements Management
• Collaborate with Business Unit Specialists to elicit, review, and validate business requirements for data-related projects
• Perform impact assessments and analyze "to-be" business and operational processes to align with agreed requirements
• Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements that support business objectives
• Monitor and manage risks and issues related to requirements and scope creep to maintain project integrity
• Assess and estimate impacts of project change requests to inform decision-making
• Functional Design & Solution Alignment
• Transition clear and complete requirements to System Analysts to ensure accurate solution design
• Maintain traceability between functional specifications and business requirements to support project transparency
• Testing
• Review test plans and functional test scopes prepared by the testing team to ensure coverage of requirements
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by prioritizing, tracking, and resolving defects
