Job summary

GT Educational Institute (Singapore) invites an experienced contract teacher to deliver Cambridge International A-Level Mathematics to exam-focused students. The role requires planning structured lessons aligned to the A-Level syllabus and guiding students through exam-style questions and techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics is required.
• Familiar with Cambridge International (CIE) A-Level Mathematics or Pearson Edexcel International A-Level Mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of A-Level Mathematics concepts and examination requirements.
• Able to commit to 3 teaching hours per day, 3–4 days per week for an initial period of 6 months.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.

Position: Contract CIE A-Level Mathematics Teacher

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract

Teaching Commitment: 3 teaching hours per day, 3–4 days per week

Location: Singapore / GT Educational Institute

Job Responsibilities

Teach Cambridge International (CIE) A-Level Mathematics to students preparing for examinations.

Plan and deliver structured lessons according to the relevant A-Level Mathematics syllabus.

Provide clear explanations of mathematical concepts and guide students through exam-style questions and problem-solving techniques.

Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement and provide targeted support.

Prepare or recommend suitable practice materials, exercises and past-year examination questions.

Monitor students’ progress and provide regular feedback.

Support students with examination preparation, including revision strategies, time management and answering techniques.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Science, or another relevant discipline.

Prior teaching experience in A-Level Mathematics is required.

Familiar with at least one of the following curricula:

Cambridge International (CIE) A-Level Mathematics

Pearson Edexcel International A-Level Mathematics

Strong knowledge of A-Level Mathematics concepts and examination requirements.

Able to commit to 3 teaching hours per day, 3–4 days per week for an initial period of 6 months.

Good communication and classroom management skills.

Responsible, patient and able to work effectively with students of different abilities.

Preferred: Candidates with experience teaching both CIE and Pearson Edexcel A-Level Mathematics and a strong track record in preparing students for A-Level examinations.
