Qualifications

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification, such as QTS, PGCE with appropriate teaching status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Possess a degree in Mathematics, Science, Mathematics and Science Education, Education with a specialisation in Mathematics or Science or a closely related field.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Mathematics or Science at secondary school level.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Cambridge Mathematics/ Science curriculum to secondary school students through engaging, structured and differentiated lessons.
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that develop students' conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics/ Science, where applicable, and prepare students effectively for external examinations.
• Develop students' ability to apply mathematical concepts to complex and unfamiliar problems.
• Adapt teaching strategies, resources and assessments to meet different learning abilities and attainment levels.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, school activities and other duties assigned by the school.

The Secondary School Mathematics & Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics and Science instruction to secondary school students following the Cambridge curriculum.
