Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an Architect with healthcare space planning experience to develop layouts, conduct test-fit exercises and review architectural drawings. You will coordinate with clinical users and consultants, capture user requirements, and prepare planning briefs and meeting minutes.

Responsibilities include presenting planning options, ensuring SOA alignment, and maintaining records while ensuring compliance with local codes and healthcare facility design

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Architecture or related Built Environment discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in architectural practice, space planning or healthcare facility planning.
• Able to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, sections and layouts.
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, workflow, adjacency and functionality.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Strong written communication skills, including meeting minutes and planning reports.
• Good knowledge of local building codes, regulations and planning requirements.
• Organised and able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Interest in healthcare design, patient-centric environments and complex institutional buildings.

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations, planning reports, design briefs and meeting minutes.
• Present planning options and project updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with preparation of submission and approval documents.
• Maintain records of planning decisions and design changes.
• Review consultant submissions against approved space planning strategies and design intent.
• Support review of architectural designs for compliance with local codes and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

Space Planning & Architectural Design

• Support the development and review of clinical and non-clinical space planning layouts

• Conduct test-fit exercises and develop planning options based on departmental requirements

• Review architectural drawings, plans, sections and consultant submissions

• Ensure user requirements and approved Schedules of Accommodation (SOA) are accurately reflected in designs

• Support planning and coordination of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) requirements

User & Stakeholder Coordination

• Attend planning and design meetings with clinical users, operational teams and consultants

• Capture user requirements and translate discussions into clear summaries and action items

• Prepare accurate meeting minutes and track decisions, outstanding matters and follow-ups

• Communicate user requirements clearly to appointed consultants

• Identify design issues, conflicting requirements and gaps in user briefs

Documentation & Presentation

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations, planning reports, design briefs and meeting minutes

• Present planning options, recommendations and project updates to stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Architecture or a related Built Environment discipline
