Job summary

DHL Express (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. seeks a Solutions Design professional to create scalable supply chain solutions that drive growth and operational excellence. You will translate customer requirements into end-to-end logistics designs, working with Business Development, Operations and Key Account teams.

The role focuses on designing warehousing, transportation and value-added services, with emphasis on commercial viability and successful implementation across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in supply chain, logistics, engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in supply chain solutions design, transport management or pre-sales consulting in logistics.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing, transportation and end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Experience in logistics network modelling, warehouse design and transport optimization.
• Proficiency in at least one supply chain modelling or simulation tool.
• Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
• Strong commercial, problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working across cultures and multiple countries within a regional/global environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end supply chain, warehousing, transportation and value-added service solutions for new business opportunities and contract renewals.
• Manage solution design deliverables across projects.
• Model scenarios of current and future operations and present cost-benefit analyses and value models.
• Advise customers on new and innovative solutions addressing needs and fit.
• Support development of a commercial framework with Business Development and Key Account Managers.
• Lead and coach SD team members on skills and project needs.
• Establish optimal costing/commercialization for new/existing business.
• Engage operations to implement assigned projects and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Solutions Design professional to develop innovative, scalable, and commercially viable supply chain solutions that drive customer growth and operational excellence. Working closely with Business Development, Operations, and Key Account teams, you will translate customer requirements into end-to-end logistics solutions while ensuring strong commercial outcomes and implementation success.

• Design and develop end-to-end supply chain, warehousing, transportation, and value-added service solutions for new business opportunities and contract renewals.
• Manage solution design deliverables across projects
• Model scenarios of current and future operational solutions & present and advise alternative cost benefit analysis & value models
• Advise the customer in new & innovative solutions which address the customer needs and demonstrate clear solution fit
• Support the development of a commercial framework for proposed solution with Business Development & Key Account Managers in order to achieve the Company’s growth, contract retention and continuous improvement objectives.
• Subject matter expert in specific solutions design skills and sector-specific skills/ tools e.g. Go Green-VAS
• Provision of solutions/ analytical support for implementation/ re-engineering needs for key/ strategic projects as assigned
• To establish optimal costing/ commercialization for New/ Existing business
• Engage and work closely with operations team on implementation of assigned projects
• Engage and work closely with Business Development and sector team on proposing solution design needs
• Ensure our proposed solutions can provide the highest levels of operational safety
• Champion assigned practise/ solution subject matter expertise- build depths via research and application, team development & training, engagement on relevant projects
• Outline solutions and commercial proposals in appropriate formats for presentation to internal / customers. Participate in customer presentations where required
• Develop and maintain good and effective communication across the business
• Actively seek to understand and apply innovation be it facility, fleet, technology or safety to solutions
• To lead and coach the assigned Solution Design (SD) team members (country/ Regional Office) on specific skills / project needs
• To lead / support the SD workstream in the pursuit of new business/ renewal of existing ones

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in supply chain solutions design, transport management, or pre-sales consulting within the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Experience in logistics network modelling, warehouse design, and transport optimization.
• Proficiency in at least one supply chain modelling or simulation tool.
• Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
• Strong commercial, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
