Job summary

ABeam Consulting in Singapore is seeking a PMO/Project Governance professional to coordinate weekly project status reports, support governance meetings, and maintain governance repositories. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years in a PMO/PM governance context within a Banking IT environment, with hands-on Waterfall experience.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, governance compliance, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, business administration, PM, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of PMO/PM governance/coordination experience in banking IT environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting or managing projects using Waterfall methodology.
• Strong governance, lifecycle management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proficient in MS Office for documentation, reporting, data analysis, and presentations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated financial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers and stakeholders to prepare weekly project status reports.
• Support governance meetings by arranging schedules, preparing materials, documenting minutes, and tracking actions to closure.
• Maintain and update project information, dashboards, and governance repositories.
• Collect, validate, and consolidate project-related information for reporting and governance purposes.
• Monitor risks, issues, and deliverables and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist in governance processes, standards, policies, and documentation.
• Support compliance with regulatory governance requirements within IT project portfolio.
• Provide admin and coordination support to Team Lead and governance team.
• Facilitate cross-team communication on governance requirements and reporting expectations.
• Prepare governance reports and management updates for review meetings.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance governance processes.
• Perform ad hoc governance, coordination, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Management Office (PMO), Project Governance, or Project Coordination role within a Banking IT environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting or managing projects using the Waterfall project management methodology.
• Strong understanding of project governance, project lifecycle management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for documentation, reporting, data analysis, and presentation preparation.
• Experience in preparing project status reports, meeting minutes, action logs, governance documentation, and management presentations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Business English (written and spoken) is required.
• Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage, particularly for supporting regional stakeholders and cross-border projects.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up, coordination, and documentation capabilities.
• Experience working in a regulated financial services or banking environment is preferred.
