Job summary

Proskill Workforce Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee safety compliance at a Tuas construction site. You will assist the WSH Manager with inspections, risk assessments and ensuring adherence to WSH regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a MOM-registered WSHO credential, has at least 5 years of experience, and can coordinate with contractors and authorities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, Workplace Safety & Health or a related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant experience as a WSH Officer.
• Must be MOM-registered as a WSHO.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and construction site practices.
• Able to work with contractors and consultants.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections, identify safety violations and ensure timely corrective actions by contractors.
• Identify potential workplace hazards, assess risks and evaluate the effectiveness of contractors' risk control measures.
• Review contractors' method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures, and recommend appropriate safety measures.
• Assist the WSH Manager in investigating workplace incidents, preparing reports and recommending preventive measures.
• Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and relevant authorities on workplace safety matters.
• Monitor and follow up on safety inspection findings to ensure compliance and timely closure.
• Ensure compliance with applicable workplace health, safety and infection prevention measures.
• Promote a positive safety culture through safety awareness, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
