Job Summary
A construction supervisor leads daily site operations by managing crews and subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring projects finish safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities and coordinate on-site logistics to ensure smooth operations
- Enforce occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship complies with building codes, blueprints, and project specifications
- Assign tasks to construction workers, supervise subcontractors, and train new employees to maintain workforce effectiveness
- Monitor inventory levels, procure construction materials timely, and ensure equipment is properly maintained for uninterrupted work
- Track project schedules and resolve on-site delays or technical issues to keep projects on track
- Direct large crews and manage conflicts professionally to maintain site harmony and productivity
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, architectural plans, and engineering drawings to guide construction activities
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including material procurement and daily schedule tracking, to support project progress
- Communicate daily progress clearly and accurately to Project Managers and clients through verbal and written reports

- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Ability to work night shifts, Sundays, public holidays, and odd timings as required by customer demands
- Good physical condition and endurance to perform site duties safely and effectively
