Job summary

WSP in Asia is seeking a Technical Officer in Singapore to support civil/structural projects. You will study project organisation, site conditions, contracts, drawings, and related shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intent.

You will supervise contractors on site, maintain a detailed diary, attend progress and consultants meetings, review shop drawings and submittals, and report progress for payment evaluations. Strong engineering background and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline.
• Ability to communicate with clients and consultants.
• Good technical reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Study project organisation, site conditions, contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Supervise contractors to meet design intent, specs, and quality.
• Maintain a site diary and daily surveillance records.
• Attend site progress, technical, and consultants meetings.
• Check contractor installation details against codes and instructions.
• Ensure timely submissions of shop drawings and submittals.
• Review contractor drawings, submittals, samples.
• Monitor progress and present reports to the Project Manager for payments.
