Qualifikationen

• Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant safety coordination experience in construction.
• Formal WSH training/qualifications required for the role.
• Good knowledge of site safety practices, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
• Experience in large-scale hospital/ healthcare construction is a plus.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in preparing safety reports and maintaining documentation.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with site personnel and subcontractors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to a safe working environment.

Aufgaben

• Assist in implementing workplace safety and health policies, procedures, and safety programmes at the hospital construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, potential hazards, and non-compliance with safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety rules and procedures.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments, safe work procedures, method statements, and other safety documentation.
• Monitor construction activities, including work at height, lifting operations, excavation, and other high-risk activities, where applicable.
• Organise and conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety awareness activities for workers and site personnel.
• Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, incident reports, training records, and other WSH documentation.
• Follow up on safety observations, corrective actions, and outstanding non-compliance issues.
• Assist in investigating workplace incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor subcontractors’ compliance with project safety requirements and report safety concerns to the relevant personnel.
• Assist in emergency preparedness activities, evacuation drills, and implementation of emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate with the project safety team and relevant stakeholders on workplace safety matters.
• Perform other safety coordination and administrative duties as assigned by management.
