Job summary

SCT CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Registered WSH Officer to monitor and enforce workplace safety on construction sites, with focus on compliance to the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead safety briefings, coordinate with MOM, consultants, and subcontractors, and drive a positive safety culture across projects including HDB/BTO when relevant. The role requires strong communication, independent work, and the ability to manage safety matters

Qualifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM where required.
• Experience in construction site safety management, preferably in HDB/BTO projects.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage site safety matters effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce workplace safety and health regulations at construction sites.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend safety control measures.
• Implement and maintain the WSHMS.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety training for workers.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses; prepare investigation reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and workers on safety matters.
• Monitor compliance with safe work procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Liaise with MOM, consultants and authorities on WSH matters.
• Attend site safety meetings and provide recommendations for safety improvements.
