Job summary

TRACE DESIGN + BUILD PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support our Singapore-based construction projects.

You will assist in supplier and subcontractor selection, measure work progress for payment requests, and help check sub-contractor claims in coordination with the Project Manager. You will also support the Senior QS in administering contracts, evaluating variations, and handling final accounts with clients and suppliers, while maintaining strict timelines and coordinating tender

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in Main-Con Company; landed properties construction experience in Singapore preferred.
• Collaborative mindset, willingness to learn, and keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Projects and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the selection of competent suppliers and sub-contractors for our construction works.
• Measure and determine the amounts of work done at any stage of the construction so as to prepare periodic progress payment requests for clients.
• Check and evaluate the progress claims submitted by the sub-contractors in liaison with Project Manager / designated staff, ensuring accuracy in quantities and quality.
• Support Senior QS in overseeing construction contracts and administration, from progress claims, to determining variation orders, EOT claims, etc.
• Assist in the settlement of final accounts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Exhibit a clear understanding of timelines and manage tender activities effectively.
• Communicate effectively with in-housearchitects, project managers and on-site staff to perform necessary progressclaim, contractual execution duties.
• Site visits and supplier visits toverify work, materials, and proposals as needed
