Job summary

Galaxy Studio Interior Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Purchaser to source materials, equipment and subcontracted services for construction and interior fit-out projects.

You will work with project managers and suppliers to secure the right items at the best value, on site and on schedule. You will manage requisitions, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, monitor deliveries and maintain supplier records. The role requires a diploma or degree in a related field and at least 2 years of purchasing

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience in construction, interior fit-out or renovation.
• Good knowledge of construction and interior materials, and familiarity with local supplier networks.
• Able to read basic drawings, BQs and specifications.
• Strong negotiation, communication and organisation skills.
• Able to manage several projects and tight deadlines at once.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase requisitions from project teams and convert approved requests into purchase orders.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, prepare price comparisons, and provide recommendations for management approval.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, delivery lead times, warranties, and other commercial terms.
• Monitor POs and follow up on delayed deliveries, highlighting any potential risks to the project schedule.
• Verify delivered goods against POs, drawings, specifications, and required standards, and coordinate any defects, discrepancies, shortages, or returns.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor list, supplier records, and pricing database.
• Maintain good working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Carry out other ad-hoc purchasing and administrative tasks as assigned by management.
