Bestbuilt Construction Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of the construction industry to manage full sets of accounts, project-based cost control, and financial compliance.

The role works closely with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost management. Responsibilities include job costing, budgeting, GST submissions, audits, and timely billing.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in construction industry.
Proficient in construction costing, progress claims, and retention.
Good knowledge of GST and local regulatory requirements.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Good communication skills to liaise with project and management teams.

Responsibilities

Maintain full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation).
Handle project-based accounting, including job costing and cost allocation.
Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost overruns.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
Process progress claims, subcontractor payments, and retention sums.
Ensure timely billing and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
Prepare GST submissions and liaise with auditors and tax agents.
Support annual audit and year-end closing.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Maintain proper filing of financial and project-related documents.
