Job summary

Evolve Scientific, an NES Fircroft Company, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Specialist to coordinate testing at laboratories and on project sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

You will review drawings and testing requirements, analyze results, and prepare technical reports while maintaining quality systems and promoting safety on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/materials engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in construction materials testing, laboratory operations, or QA.
• Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
• Experience in accredited laboratories is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform construction materials testing activities at laboratory and project sites.
• Conduct technical assessments on concrete, soil and other construction materials using recognised testing methodologies.
• Review engineering drawings, project specifications and testing requirements to determine appropriate testing approaches.
• Analyse and interpret test results, providing clear technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Prepare, review and verify technical reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support laboratory quality systems and maintain compliance with relevant accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members where required.
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders regarding testing activities and technical findings.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company and site safety procedures.
