Job summary

Element is seeking a Civil Material Technician for testing, sample preparation and delivery/collection of samples and preparation of test reports. Candidates should ideally have gained experience in construction material testing with a commercial test house or contractor.

The role involves soil, concrete, rebar and aggregate testing, density testing, concrete sampling for compression and flexural tests, slump testing, and potential asphalt testing, with report preparation and compilation

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in teams and under pressure.
• Willing to work in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil, concrete, rebar and aggregate testing.
• Conduct density test.
• Sampling of concrete for compression and flexural test.
• Conduct slump testing.
• Have an idea / conduct asphalt testing (preferable).
• Prepare and compile reports.
