Job summary

Flintex Consulting is recruiting a Senior Construction Manager in Singapore to oversee projects from conception to completion, coordinating with architects, engineers and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires a Master in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years of construction management experience across residential, government and commercial sectors. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree / Master in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or relevant field.
• Proven at least 5 years of working experience in construction management in the public and private residential, government and commercial building projects.
• Solid knowledge related to structural, architectural (finishing) or M&E works.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent team player with ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage and monitor construction projects from conception to completion with cost-effective execution plans.
• Manage construction workers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
• Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
• Monitor and report to Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager on project progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
• Ensure all changes to specifications, work scopes and drawings are properly documented.
• Swiftly respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
• Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and propose improvements by modifying procedures and work instructions.
• Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture across the workforce.
• Manage materials at construction site to minimize wastage and avoid overstock of material.
• Manage company assets and equipment rental for optimal utilization and cost.
• Control manpower and overtime cost to ensure optimal cost benefit within or below budget.
• Handle any ad-hoc projects and duties as required by management.
