The role requires daily oversight, planning, and adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards. Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with at least 7 years of experience, including 5 years on building projects with a main contractor.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of construction contractual documents for approvals and submissions.

• Verify errors, defects and variations from plans and drawings.
• Verify completion of errors, defects and variations.
• Assess guidelines for commissioning, testing of components and systems.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health policies.
• Assess inspections for health and safety policy compliance.
• Research built environment developments and trends.
• Assess viability of improvements to time, cost and quality management.
• Implement risk management plans aligned with the risk framework.

Job Summary:

The Construction Manager supports the Project manager and coordinates and manages the implementation of construction work with general contractors and subcontractors on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

Job Requirements:

• Assess inspections to ensure compliance with organisational health and safety policies, processes and procedures.

• Assess the viability of proposed continuous improvement initiatives to improve time, cost and quality management.
• Implement risk management plans and risk controls in alignment with the organisation’s risk management framework.
