Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory client is seeking a Construction Manager to coordinate with general contractors and subs on a Toa Payoh project, reporting to the Project Manager and guiding day-to-day construction activities.

Requires a Diploma/Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering with at least 7 years of experience, including 5 years on building projects with a main contractor; salary 6,500–7,500 SGD monthly plus variable bonus; Mon to Fri, on site at Toa Payoh.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of construction contractual documents for approvals and submissions.
• Coordinate construction work with general contractors and subcontractors on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Identify construction requirements based on project size, scope and timeline.
• Verify errors, defects and variations based on construction plans and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with WSH policies and practices.
• Implement risk management plans and improvement initiatives.
• Conduct research on new built-environment trends and technologies.

Job Summary:

The Construction Manager supports the Project manager and coordinates and manages the implementation of construction work with general contractors and subcontractors on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

• Verify the overall list of errors, defects and variations based on construction plans and drawing designs.
• Verify the completion of the overall list of errors, defects and variations.
• Assess the effectiveness of established guidelines and procedures for commissioning and testing of components, equipment and systems
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and practices.
• Assess inspections to ensure compliance with organisational health and safety policies, processes and procedures.
• Conduct research on the latest developments in the built environment trends and technologies.
• Assess the viability of proposed continuous improvement initiatives to improve time, cost and quality management.
• Implement risk management plans and risk controls in alignment with the organisation’s risk management framework.
