Job summary

Marina Bay Sands is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee all onsite processes for major projects within the Department of Development and Project Management.

The successful candidate will lead the onsite team, drive safety and quality, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with purchasing, suppliers, and project managers to deliver live A&A/fitting-out works in a high-profile environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, BArch Architecture / built environment or BSc Construction Management.
• 10+ years' experience as a Construction Manager, preferably with 5 years in A&A.
• Working knowledge of scope of work covered by contracts.
• Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
• Available for rotating shifts, including night shifts, to support A&A works.
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite team and ensure health, safety, environmental and sustainability guidelines are followed.
• Ensure housekeeping and quality benchmarks across works areas.
• Deliver projects within budget, schedule and in conformance with contract documents.
• Develop scopes of work with purchasing and coordinate logistics with site teams.
• Conduct regular progress and contractor meetings to review costs, schedules and issues.
• Evaluate contractor method statements for buildability and provide feedback.
• Liaise with safety manager to develop site safety plan.
• Prepare detailed project reports and implement best practices.
