Job summary

Ernst Engineering is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee end-to-end project delivery in Singapore. You will lead site engineers, subcontractors, and supervision teams while ensuring safety, quality, and cost control.

Responsibilities include planning manpower, equipment, coordinating with clients and authorities, reviewing schedules, and timely reporting to Management. This role demands strong leadership and contract compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction projects from planning to completion.
• Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Plan and deploy manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment efficiently.
• Monitor progress, productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, QA/QC procedures, CONQUAS standards, and MOM/WSH regulations.
• Review construction schedules and implement recovery plans.
• Manage company assets, equipment utilization, material control, and overtime costs.
• Prepare project reports and provide timely updates to Management.
• Respond promptly to construction issues, risks, emergencies, and project changes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

The Construction Manager is responsible for the overall management of construction projects, including project execution, manpower planning, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, cost control, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project resources with an estimated workforce of up to 1,000 personnel,including subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and governmentauthorities.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, QA/QCprocedures, CONQUAS standards, and MOM/WSH regulations.
• Review construction schedules and implement recovery plans where necessary.
• Manage company assets, equipment utilisation, material control, and overtimecosts.
• Prepare project reports and provide timely updates to Management.
