Job summary

ADSKILL EMPLOYMENT AGENCY PTE. LTD. seeks a Construction Machinery Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation with minimal downtime.

The role requires performing preventive maintenance, accurate fault diagnosis across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems, and on-site repairs. You will document service activity, coordinate with operators, and support emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repair of construction machinery and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on construction machinery to extend equipment lifespan and reduce breakdowns.
• Inspect machinery to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults accurately.
• Repair or replace defective components including engines, transmissions, brakes, pumps, hoses, and undercarriage parts to restore equipment functionality.
• Operate on various equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, cranes, dump trucks, and generators to maintain diverse machinery.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and service records to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
• Conduct pre-start and post-repair checks and test machinery to verify safe and effective operation before returning to service.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules for compliance and tracking.
• Report major faults, safety concerns, and parts requirements promptly to supervisors for timely action.
• Keep tools, workshop areas, and service vehicles clean and organized to support a safe and efficient work environment.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe lifting practices, to ensure personal and team safety.
• Coordinate with equipment operators and site teams to schedule inspections and repairs minimizing operational disruptions.
• Support emergency breakdown repairs at worksites to restore equipment quickly and reduce downtime.
