Job summary

KOH CIVIL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled technician to carry out maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles at project sites.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults; perform preventive maintenance; replace worn parts; and keep accurate maintenance records while adhering to safety procedures. Candidates should have hands-on repair experience and relevant technical certification, with fitness to work

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Hands-on experience repairing heavy construction machinery.
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles to maintain operational readiness.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to restore equipment functionality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
• Repair and replace defective parts, components, and machinery systems to sustain equipment performance.
• Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns at project sites and execute necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and tracking.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance work adheres to workplace safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment.
• Execute additional duties as assigned from Supervisor or Management to support team objectives.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably in the construction industry
• Hands‑on experience repairing heavy construction machinery like excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, other construction equipment
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and bring out repair independent
• Relevant technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field is advantageous
• Physically fit and willing to work at project sites
• Ability to respond to urgent machinery breakdowns when required
• Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence is advantageous
