Greensafe International Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to oversee the Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan on construction sites. You will lead site inspections, ensure compliance with EMMP and environmental permits, and liaise with NEA and other authorities.

The role requires at least 2 years of ECO experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive corrective actions and reporting.

Qualifications

Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) by NEA.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in construction or infrastructure projects (ECO cum ECMO).
Sound knowledge of local environmental regulations, codes of practice, and EMMP requirements.
Strong communication and reporting skills, with ability to liaise with authorities and stakeholders.
Ability to conduct site inspections independently and resolve environmental issues proactively.

Responsibilities

Implement the Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan (EMMP) across all project phases.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with air, water, noise, and waste controls.
Identify, report, and recommend corrective actions for non-compliance or breaches.
Maintain up-to-date environmental documentation and reports.
Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure permit conditions are met.
Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks to raise environmental awareness.
Review environmental method statements, risk assessments, and pollution controls.
Supervise pollution control system installation and maintenance.
Respond to environmental emergencies and coordinate containment and reporting.
Participate in audits and drive continual improvement.
