Job description

Job Scope / Responsibilities

1. Drafting & Design

   Create detailed 2D drawings and technical plans using AutoCAD (and/or Revit, SolidWorks, etc.).

   Develop layouts, assembly drawings, and component details based on design specifications.

   Revise and update existing drawings according to design changes or client feedback.

2. Coordination

   Work closely with engineers, architects, or project managers to ensure design accuracy.

   Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure drawing consistency.

   Assist in preparing presentation drawings and technical documentation.

3. Documentation & Quality Control

   Maintain drawing records and ensure all drawings meet project and company standards.

   Check dimensions, materials, and notes for accuracy and completeness.

   Support project teams in compiling drawings and documents for submission.

4. Technical Support

   Provide technical assistance to site or production teams based on drawings.

   Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements where necessary.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

1. Education

   Diploma or Certificate in Drafting / Engineering / Architecture / Design Technology or related field.

   Bachelor’s degree preferred for higher-level design positions.

2. Technical Skills

   Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); experience with Revit, SolidWorks, MicroStation, or other CAD software is an advantage.

   Good understanding of design standards, technical drawings, and industry codes.

   Basic knowledge of BIM or 3D modeling tools is an added advantage.

3. Experience

   Typically 1–3 years of experience for junior positions.

   3–5+ years for senior or specialized CAD Designer roles.
