Job summary

SBM Management Services PTE. LTD. is seeking a Compound Cleaner to perform comprehensive outdoor cleaning and waste management within the compound in Singapore.

The role includes sweeping, bin maintenance, waste segregation, and pest/hygiene control across various outdoor areas. You will operate cleaning equipment such as leaf blowers and jet washers, assist in event setups, and participate in periodic deep cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and remove debris from walkways, driveways, open areas and common spaces.
• Empty outdoor bins, replace bin liners, and segregate waste.
• Wash and disinfect rubbish bins and bin centre surfaces.
• Clear clogged drains, gutters, and remove debris to prevent flooding.
• Clean public or external toilets; top up consumables; maintain hygiene.
• Sweep around garden areas and planters; remove weeds.
• Report pest issues and maintain cleanliness to deter pests.
• Clean spills (oil, food, liquids) and ensure safe, non-slippery areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment (leaf blowers, high-pressure washers, scrubber/dryer) and perform basic tool maintenance.
• Assist in event setup/cleanup and support periodic deep cleaning per supervisor instructions.

Compound Cleaner - Job Scope

1. 1. General Outdoor Cleaning

   Sweep and remove debris from: Walkways, driveways, car parks Open areas, courtyards, common spaces

   Clear leaves, litter, and loose dirt

2. 2. Waste Collection & Disposal

   Empty outdoor bins and replace bin liners

   Collect and segregate general waste, recyclables (if applicable)

   Transport waste to designated collection points or bin centres

3. 3. Bin Centre Cleaning

   Wash and disinfect rubbish bins

   Clean bin centre flooring, walls, and drainage areas

   Ensure no foul odours or pest attraction

4. 4. Drainage & Gutter Maintenance

   Clear clogged drains, gratings, and gutters

   Remove debris to prevent water stagnation and flooding

5. 5. Toilet (External/Public) Cleaning (if assigned)

   Clean public or external toilets within compound

   Top up consumables (toilet paper, soap)

   Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards

6. 6. Landscape & Surroundings Upkeep

   Sweep around garden areas, turf edges, or planters

   Remove weeds (basic/manual removal unless landscape team involved)

7. 7. Pest & Hygiene Control

   Report pest issues (rats, insects)

   Maintain cleanliness to reduce pest breeding areas

8. 8. Spill & Hazard Cleaning

   Clean accidental spills (oil, food, liquids)

   Ensure areas are safe and not slippery

9. 9. Use of Cleaning Equipment

   Operate equipment such as: Leaf blowers High-pressure jet washers Scrubber/dryer (for semi-outdoor areas)

   Perform basic maintenance of tools

10. 10. Ad Hoc Duties

    Assist in event setup/cleanup

    Support periodic deep cleaning (e.g., high-pressure washing)

    Follow supervisor instructions for special tasks
