Job summary

Moomoo is a fast-growing wealth-tech platform expanding in Singapore. We seek a Compliance Specialist to support corporate onboarding, transaction monitoring and marketing review, ensuring compliance with MAS AML/CFT and internal policies.

You will collaborate with Compliance, Partner Support, Operations and Business teams to maintain risk-aware processes. The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Business, Banking & Finance, Law or related field, plus 3–5 years in AML/KYC/compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Law or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in corporate onboarding, AML/KYC, compliance, or corporate services.
• Good understanding of: simple/complex corporate structures & fund vehicles (including VCC); AML/CFT requirements and MAS regulations; AML risk, risk rating, source of funds/wealth, related parties and PEPs.

Responsibilities

• Corporate Account Review & Onboarding: Perform CDD and EDD for new high risk corporate clients; evaluate ownership, business nature, source of funds, and regulatory risk exposures; conduct name screening, negative news searches, and risk assessments; validate account documents and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve deficiencies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support review of marketing materials; update onboarding policies, SOPs, and risk assessment frameworks; monitor regulatory requirements (MAS AML/CFT, FATF, sanctions); assist in regulatory remediation and audits.
• Transaction Monitoring: Review alerts for unusual activity; conduct AML/CFT analysis; escalate to MLRO for STR filing; document findings with rationale; maintain audit trail; propose rule/threshold tuning.

Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the compliance review on corporate onboarding, transaction monitoring and marketing review. The role focuses on ensuring that all processes are comply with applicable regulations, internal policies, and risk frameworks. The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Partner Support, Operations, and Business teams to ensure a seamless collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Corporate Account Review & Onboarding
  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new high risk corporate clients across a wide range of corporate structures:
  • Private limited companies, partnerships, trusts, funds, VCCs, and overseas incorporated entities
  • External Asset Manager (EAM)-assisted and nominee structures
  • Evaluate ownership, business nature, source of wealth/funds, and regulatory risk exposures
  • Conduct name screening, negative news searches, and risk assessments
  • Validate account documents and operational setup for completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve deficiencies and ensure timely account approval
• Regulatory Compliance
  • Supporting the review of marketing materials.
  • Support updating and enhancement of onboarding policies, SOPs, and risk assessment frameworks
  • Monitor developments in relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS AML/CFT, FATF, sanctions)
  • Support system and process enhancements from a compliance perspective.
  • Assist in regulatory remediation, audits, and internal control improvements
• Transaction Monitoring
  • Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts flagged for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Conduct AML/CFT analysis on flagged transactions, including reviewing client profiles, transaction patterns, and source of funds/source of wealth.
  • Escalate cases with reasonable grounds for suspicion to the MLRO for STR (Suspicious Transaction Report) filing.
  • Document review findings and decisions (clear / elevate) with supporting rationale.
  • Ensure alerts are cleared within the required turnaround time / SLA.
  • Identify recurring patterns and recommend rule/threshold tuning to reduce false positives.
  • Maintain proper audit trail and records for regulatory and internal audit review.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Law or related discipline
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in corporate onboarding, AML/KYC, compliance, or corporate services
• Good understanding of:
  • Simple/Complex corporate structures & fund vehicles (including VCC)
  • AML/CFT requirements and MAS regulations
  • AML risk, risk rating, source of funds/ wealth, related parties and PEPs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
