About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance & Legal Operations Intern to support the day-to-day work of our compliance and legal team in a regulated financial services or fintech environment. This role offers practical exposure to licensing processes, regulatory monitoring, and compliance management. You will gain hands‑on experience with compliance workflows and documentation while assisting with process improvement initiatives, including the use of digital tools and AI‑assisted solutions to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on administrative support for license applications and ongoing compliance matters through document preparation, data entry, and tracking submission statuses.
- Handle high‑volume, detail‑oriented tasks including document organization, system updates, archiving, and maintaining internal compliance trackers and registers.
- Assist with basic task management by following up on action items and supporting clear communication between compliance, legal, and business teams.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense records related to regulatory matters; maintain internal logs and reporting templates.
- Perform basic desk research, monitor regulatory updates and public enforcement actions, and summarize key information for internal use.
- Support process improvement and automation projects through system usage, workflow testing, and participating in AI‑related pilot programs.
- Provide administrative assistance during regulatory deadlines or peak workload periods to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current university students (second year or above) or recent graduates in Law, Finance, Fintech, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written) is required to effectively collaborate with internal and external APAC stakeholders, and to manage legal and compliance documentation specific to these markets.
- Basic understanding of legal or regulatory concepts; reliable, organized, and comfortable with repetitive, execution‑focused work with high attention to detail.
- Minimum 3‑month commitment. Preference for 5 days per week (minimum 3 days per week considered).
- Ability to work on‑site in the Singapore office.
