Job summary

Hytech is seeking an AML Strategy Lead to design and drive the Transaction Monitoring framework in Singapore, collaborating with Compliance, Product, Operations and BIT teams to strengthen detection capabilities. Qualifications

About the Role

The AML Strategy Lead will primarily design and drive the firm’s Transaction Monitoring (TM) strategy and build a robust, risk-based monitoring system that meets regulatory expectations. This role will partner closely with Compliance, Product, Operations, and BIT teams to enhance detection capabilities and strengthen the AML framework across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the firm’s Transaction Monitoring strategy.
• Build and enhance TM rules, scenarios, thresholds, and customer segmentation models.
• Oversee system development, testing, and ongoing optimization in partnership with tech and data teams.
• Conduct periodic reviews of alert quality, rule performance, and typology coverage.
• Maintain up-to-date TM policies, procedures, documentation, and risk assessments.
• Support regulatory requests, audits, and internal governance reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on new product launches and market expansion to ensure TM readiness.
• Provide guidance and training on AML/TM processes to internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5-10 years of AML or Financial Crime experience, with strong exposure to transaction monitoring.
• Experience designing or optimizing TM systems or rule sets.
• Strong understanding of AML regulations, typologies, and risk frameworks.
• Ability to work with data and BIT teams.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern TM platforms.
• Experience in fintech, payments, brokerage, crypto, or neobanking.
• CAMS, ICA, CFCS, or similar certifications.
