Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking two Research Assistants for a 12-month government-backed study. The roles involve outreach, recruitment, and data collection to support timely study implementation.

Responsibilities include engaging migrant worker communities, scheduling participants, and coordinating with partners. Evening and weekend availability may be required to fit participant schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Communications or related field.
• Strong interest in migrant worker issues, public health, community engagement or research involving vulnerable populations.
• Experience with community organisations, migrant worker communities or outreach programmes is advantageous.
• Experience conducting surveys, interviews, focus groups or other community-based research is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing project needs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and recruitment activities in community settings and other locations frequented by migrant workers.
• Recruit eligible participants and support their enrolment into the study.
• Maintain regular communication and engagement with study participants throughout the study period.
• Assist with participant scheduling, follow-up and retention activities.
• Support data collection activities, including administering surveys and interviews or focus groups.
• Provide language support and cultural insights to facilitate effective engagement with migrant worker communities.
• Assist with data management, documentation and other research administration.
• Support day-to-day study operations and other research-related activities as assigned.
• Work closely with the research team and community partners to ensure smooth and timely implementation of study activities.
